Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Children and Families First Delaware Inc. As a Preschool Classroom Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our young learners and helping them develop essential skills for future success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement engaging learning experiences that promote cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development in children aged 3-5.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a nurturing and responsive environment that fosters positive relationships and a love of learning.
  • Use observations and anecdotal notes to document children's progress and individualize curriculum to meet their unique needs.
  • Establish and maintain a safe, healthy learning environment that meets Head Start and childcare licensing requirements.
  • Model appropriate classroom practices and behaviors that promote social-emotional learning and character development.
  • Complete quarterly assessment checkpoints and developmental screenings to inform instruction and support child development.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, plus experience teaching preschool-age children.
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) or proficiency in other languages a plus.
  • Computer literacy skills, including MS Office applications and basic data systems.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
