Job Title: Veteran Support Navigator

Earn an estimated salary of $42,000 per year in a dynamic role as a Veteran Support Navigator at Changing Homelessness, Inc. Based in Savannah, this position is ideal for individuals passionate about providing support to veterans and their families.

The primary objective of this position is to connect eligible veterans with the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program and other vital resources. This involves assessing veteran families to determine the most suitable interventions and referrals. As a key member of the SSVF team, you will work closely with the Eligibility Screening Specialist during the intake process and ensure that veterans are assigned a case manager within three business days.

In this role, you will engage with veteran families, build rapport, and provide essential support services. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging with veteran families and building trust
  • Assessing eligibility for the SSVF program
  • Generating referrals to relevant community resources
  • Coordinating emergency services for literally homeless clients
  • Preparing clients for intake and assisting through the process
  • Maintaining accurate records of outreach and engagement activities
  • Entering data into various databases in a timely manner
