Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to conduct clinical assessments for veterans who have sacrificed greatly for our country. As a Veterans Healthcare Specialist, you will play a vital role in reviewing medical records, conducting physical assessments, and documenting findings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing veteran medical records to understand their condition and its relation to military service
- Conducting physical assessments and documenting findings
- Providing non-treating, low-liability care to veterans
Benefits:
- Flexible schedule: work 0.1-5 days per week or just 1 day every few months
- Paid $100-$620 per veteran seen, equivalent to $80-$120/hour on average after documentation
- Typically seeing only 4-10 veterans per day
Requirements:
- Must have at least 2 full years of in-person, direct contact with patients after graduation
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licensure
Ideal Candidate:
- Investigative in nature, with the ability to collect evidence and stay unbiased
- Able to focus on one patient at a time
- Strong documentation skills
Salary Range: $80-$120/hour on average, based on seeing 4-10 veterans per day and receiving $100-$620 per veteran seen.
