As a key member of our Central Processing department, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper inventory, decontamination, assembly, inspection, packaging, sterilization, storage, distribution, and tracking of surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records of surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment.
  • Decontamination and Sterilization: Ensure all instruments and equipment are properly decontaminated and sterilized using approved methods and equipment.
  • Assembly and Inspection: Assemble and inspect instruments and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Packaging and Storage: Package and store instruments and equipment in a clean and organized manner.
  • Distribution and Tracking: Distribute instruments and equipment to the appropriate departments and track their usage and maintenance.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Central Supply Processing Department Technician (CSPDT) certification required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in Central Supply or Operating Room instrument processing preferred.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift heavy objects, and remain in a stationary position for extended periods. The successful candidate must be able to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
