POSITION OVERVIEW

As the Area Operations Manager, you will be responsible for supervising a team of five to seven Route Service Representatives. Your primary focus will be on managing, recruiting, training, and retaining your team. Your performance will be evaluated based on your ability to maintain customer satisfaction, secure contract renewals, manage accounts receivable, and foster growth within existing accounts. You will also have the chance to earn bonuses and incentives while traveling to engage with customers and support your team in the field.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and mentor Route Sales Representatives to ensure outstanding customer service.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Optimize customer contract terms and enhance profitability.
  • Manage route efficiency and safety, ensuring positive interactions with customers.
  • Address customer concerns swiftly and cultivate strong relationships.
  • Implement promotional activities across the market and resolve issues effectively.
  • Step in for Route Sales Representatives as necessary to guarantee continuous service.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Professional demeanor, reliability, and excellent organizational capabilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adaptable team player with proficient computer and analytical abilities.
  • Previous leadership and supervisory experience is preferred.
  • A college degree is advantageous.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is situated in a professional office setting where standard office equipment is utilized. While the role is primarily sedentary, some physical tasks such as filing may be necessary.
