ROLE SUMMARY

The Operations Coordinator will provide leadership, guidance, and support to Program Directors managing services across multiple locations. This role is crucial in ensuring the effective delivery of educational services and the optimal use of resources for children.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities of the Operations Coordinator for Educational Services include, but are not limited to:

  • Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and supervising staff.
  • Managing the daily operations of educational, clinical, and administrative functions.
  • Overseeing classroom assignments and curriculum development.
  • Approving the procurement of supplies and equipment.
  • Acting as a liaison between families and educational institutions.
  • Facilitating communication with community partners and educational entities.
  • Developing and implementing program objectives.
  • Completing special projects as assigned.
  • Making decisions regarding student placements in alternative facilities.
  • Ensuring staff receive necessary training and development related to children's needs.
  • Conducting assessments and observations to maintain a safe and healthy environment for staff and children.
  • Staying informed about developments in the field.
  • Performing additional related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities.
  • Interpersonal skills to engage effectively with colleagues, families, and external partners.
  • Commitment to confidentiality.
  • Proficient in using computers and relevant software.
  • Familiarity with equipment used by individuals receiving services.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to oversee various locations.
  • Strong analytical skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master's degree in Special Education.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Supervision and Administration.
  • A minimum of five years of experience as a Special Education Teacher and five years in a School Administrator role.
  • New York State Permanent Certification as a Special Education Teacher.
  • New York State Permanent Certification as a School Administrator and Supervisor.
  • Valid New York State Driver's License.
  • Certification in School Building Leader (SBL) and/or School District Leader (SDL) is required.

COMPENSATION: $100,000 - $110,000 Annually + Comprehensive Benefits
