About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Lines Underwriter to join our team at Frank Winston Crum Insurance. As a Commercial Lines Underwriter, you will play a critical role in evaluating and managing risk for our clients, ensuring that their business operations are protected and compliant with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Risk Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct thorough risk assessments of commercial clients, analyzing their business operations, financials, and industry trends to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  2. Policy Development and Management: Develop and manage commercial insurance policies for clients, ensuring that they meet their specific needs and comply with industry regulations.
  3. Client Communication and Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that their needs are met.
  4. Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with internal teams, including underwriting, claims, and marketing, to ensure a coordinated approach to risk management and business development.
  5. Staying Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve risk management and business development strategies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in commercial insurance underwriting, with a focus on risk management and business development.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, including workers' compensation, general liability, and property insurance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex risk scenarios and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, finance, or risk management.
