Overview:
As a Registered Nurse, you will support the Nurse Manager in delivering leadership within the department to enhance patient safety and optimize clinical outcomes. You will take on delegated responsibilities for overseeing unit operations and maintaining professional practice standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Nurse Manager in evaluating staff performance and contribute to the development, implementation, and assessment of care standards for the unit and its patient demographic.
  • Engage in coaching and developing team members, exemplifying effective communication and problem-solving skills while providing direct patient care.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Nurse Specialists and Educators to address the educational needs of the unit, ensuring continuity of care for specific patient requirements.
  • Support the management of resources, ensuring equitable workload distribution and alignment of provider competencies with patient needs.
  • Work alongside the Nurse Manager to identify and resolve operational, budgetary, patient, and personnel challenges.
  • Participate in the formulation, execution, and evaluation of patient care protocols, guidelines, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Credentials:
    Essential:
    * Basic Life Support
    * Registered Nurse
    * Advanced Cardiac Life Support
    * Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses
    * Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course
    * Trauma Nurse Core Course
    * PALS Certification
  • Education:
    Minimum Required: Bachelor's in Nursing. Preferred: Master's in Nursing.
    Required License/Certification: State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification and any relevant certifications as determined by the position level.
    Minimum Experience: 3 years in related clinical areas.
    TNCC or ATCN, ENPC or PALS required within 1 year of hire.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer must be valid before the start date.
