Job Summary:

As a Nursing House Supervisor Clinical Resources at UCHealth, you will provide leadership and oversight to nursing units and clinical support areas during assigned shifts. Your expertise will be crucial in monitoring and evaluating the performance of agency and temporary staff, particularly nursing staff. You will be responsible for determining, coordinating, and monitoring the flow of patients between units to maximize patient safety and experience, as well as the use of the organization's resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to staff, responding to their requests for managerial assistance and notifying MOC/AOC as necessary.
  • Determine, coordinate, and monitor the flow of patients between units to maximize patient safety and experience and the use of the organization's resources.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify any issues that affect desired patient outcomes, coordinating patient care services with staff, physicians, and other departments.
  • Respond to complaints/conflicts and manage through established channels, making administrative decisions in conjunction with the MOC/AOC.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision, taking appropriate action in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:
  • ADN, BSN required for hires/transfers after 1/1/15.
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • 2 years of nursing experience.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
