**Job Description:** We are seeking an experienced Accounting Director to oversee our accounting department and manage financial operations. The ideal candidate will have strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and team leadership. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the integrity of financial information and supporting company's strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and presenting accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts in compliance with GAAP and company policies
- Liaising with the annual budgeting process, monitoring budget vs. actual performance, and providing variance analysis and insights
- Overseeing the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled
- Managing, mentoring, and developing the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
- Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations, standards, and internal controls. Coordinating external audits and implementing recommended improvements
- Analyzing cost structures and providing insights to improve operational efficiency and profitability
- Overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and collection of invoices
- Conducting financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth
- Identifying and implementing best practices and process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function
**Required Skills and Qualifications:** A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is preferred. At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial regulations. Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
