Job Opportunity: Director of IU Student Foundation

Are you a passionate leader who wants to make a difference in the lives of students and the Indiana University community? We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to serve as the Director of the IU Student Foundation (IUSF).

The IUSF is a student-run organization that engages and mentors students to grow their leadership skillset, cultivate a lifetime of loyalty, and increase philanthropic support for IU. As Director, you will partner closely with the Associate Director to gather insights and data that translate into programmatic growth. You will be responsible for daily operations, leading a cohort of next-generation leaders, and developing strategic plans to promote student philanthropy.

We are looking for a candidate who is mission-driven, has a passion for developing student leaders, and has operational and marketing acumen. You should have a strategic understanding of social media to promote programming to target demographics and enthusiasm for the ideas that students bring. Responsibilities:
  • Lead the IU Student Foundation team to achieve strategic goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement programs to engage and mentor students in leadership roles
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director to gather insights and data that inform programmatic growth
  • Manage daily operations, including budgeting, planning, and execution of events and activities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, faculty, and staff to promote student philanthropy
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • Experience with higher education and student affairs highly preferred
  • Experience and/or understanding of fundraising at an annual or major gift level preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with and mentor students to develop skills and create engagement that leads to further loyalty
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in the handling of confidential information
