Associate Director of Career Education

This role is a key member of the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering Career Services team, responsible for developing and delivering career development courses and programs. The Associate Director of Career Education will work closely with students, faculty, and staff to provide guidance and support in career exploration, job search strategies, and professional development.
Responsibilities- Develop and deliver career development courses and programs for Luddy students, including resume and cover letter writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
- Provide one-on-one career coaching and advising to students, including career assessments, exploration, and goal setting.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to integrate career development into the curriculum and provide resources and support for students.
- Stay current on trends in the technology industry and provide accurate and up-to-date information to students.
- Develop and present career workshops and programming to Luddy students, including networking strategies, interviewing, and resume and cover letter writing.
- Assist with the development and implementation of career services programs and initiatives, including career fairs, job fairs, and internship programs.
- Work with the Senior Associate Director to develop and implement career development curriculum and programs.
- Provide guidance and support to other career services staff, including training and development opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
- 5 years of experience in career consulting or related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Knowledge of career development principles and practices.
- Experience with career assessments and career development software.
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
