About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Early Childhood Specialist to join our team as a Consultant and Training Facilitator. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading organization in the field of early childhood education and disability support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of evidence-based practices for young children with disabilities, ages 0-5.
  • Coordinate contract and grant activities, including the development and implementation of training and technical assistance programs.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to families and professionals serving young children with disabilities.
  • Develop and maintain resources, including online and face-to-face training materials, to support early childhood professionals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to address the needs of early childhood professionals, families, and young children.
Requirements
  • Thorough knowledge of child care, early intervention, preschool special education, and other early care and education service options for young children with disabilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and successful experience developing materials and training related to early care and education.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with internal teams, external partners, and/or customers.
  • Ability to host virtual meetings and conduct virtual trainings.
  • Proven experience and ability to coordinate projects, adhere to timelines, meet deadlines, and complete activities as planned.
  • Effective team member with the ability to work collaboratively, internally and externally, with a variety of people and organizations, both public and private.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience with early childhood services, child care, and other health and education services and organizations for young children and families.
  • Knowledge of transitions from IDEA Part C to Part B services.
  • Experience writing and/or implementing Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs) and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Extensive knowledge of evidence-based practices for young children with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders.
