Our mission centers on fostering courage, confidence, and character in girls, enabling them to positively impact their communities.
Opportunity Highlights
If you are passionate about developing outdoor programs, mentoring girls, and promoting environmental stewardship, this role is designed for you. The Community Engagement Coordinator will oversee the creation, implementation, and assessment of both seasonal and year-round outdoor programming, including managing overnight and day camp operations. This position will lead initiatives aimed at enhancing outdoor leadership skills tailored to the interests and needs of our target demographic, ensuring a safe and enriching experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture impactful community partnerships to facilitate the delivery of Girl Scout programs to underserved populations.
- Represent the organization at various community events to enhance visibility and engagement.
- Act as a facilitator of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE), ensuring adherence to national program standards and safety protocols.
- Evaluate outreach efforts and program effectiveness, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet objectives.
- Maintain comprehensive records of activities and outcomes to fulfill grant and funding requirements.
- Collaborate with volunteers and site directors to ensure programming reflects the diverse interests and needs of the community.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated commitment to serving all girls with enthusiasm and respect.
- Strong understanding of and dedication to diversity and inclusion principles.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to work independently and manage stress effectively.
- Proficiency in technology and willingness to learn new applications.
- Familiarity with Girl Scout programming and a commitment to its mission is preferred.
- Fluency in Spanish is an advantage.
