WSP, a renowned and innovative multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm, is seeking a Lead Specialist in Building Technology Systems with expertise in the design of Building Technology Systems for our offices.

WSP collaborates closely with architects and owners globally on large-scale, intricate projects emphasizing sustainability and energy efficiency in the built environment.

Your Impact

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee project management for significant initiatives and projects for key clients.
  • Act as the project manager for assignments involving multiple service lines.
  • Exhibit a thorough understanding and management of client expectations regarding project objectives, budgets, and timelines.
  • Handle project accounting, including budget oversight, profitability analysis, contract negotiations, and timely client resolutions.
  • Maintain full responsibility and accountability for a portfolio of clients.
  • Develop strategies to enhance business with selected clients.
  • Engage in client networking, follow up on leads, and participate in marketing meetings and strategy sessions.
  • Promote all of WSP's service offerings during client interactions.
  • Prepare proposals and responses to RFPs and engage in proposal presentations.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and maintain a consistent level of repeat business.
  • Delegate tasks effectively to both senior and junior staff; manage and coordinate their work.
  • Mentor staff on a project basis, facilitating their advancement from project to project and identifying future Project Leaders.
  • Participate actively in industry events and professional organizations.
  • Lead the design efforts for building technology systems.
  • Coordinate and integrate building technology systems with other intelligent building systems.
Who You Are

Required Qualifications:
  • A four-year Engineering degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience in Building Technology Systems design across disciplines such as Telecommunications, AV, Electronic Safety and Security systems, and Network systems.
  • Over 10 years of experience in designing high-end Building Technology Systems within the Architectural and Electrical consulting sector.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory and project management role.
  • Experience across various project types and sizes, including healthcare, science and technology, high-rise commercial office, high-end residential, hospitality, educational, data center design, and outside plant infrastructure.
  • Design experience in integrated intelligent building systems for Smart Buildings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in organizing and presenting design information to clients.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is desirable.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office software.
  • Extensive experience in direct client interactions.
  • Industry certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.

Compensation:
Expected Salary: $92,300 - $162,000


WSP is committed to providing a compensation range that reflects the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, along with internal equity and specific geographic considerations.
