Job Overview

This is an exempt position reporting to the Senior Vice President of the Advanced Systems Practice. The successful candidate will work closely with IQT's government partners to understand their technology challenges and leverage their expertise to investigate and recommend potential solutions from the venture-backed startup landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify new technology areas for investment and provide technical diligence on multiple complementary investments in that technology area.
  • Develop and negotiate Statements of Work contracts between IQT and start-up companies.
  • Provide technical oversight on work programs, perform assessments of work program deliverables, and identify paths for resolution of issues on work programs to key stakeholders and IQT Leadership.
  • Leverage technical/market experience and understanding of government partner use cases to identify new topics for, and oversee development of, Market Surveys and Global Competitive Analysis products.
  • Oversee development of technology architectures and solutions to address problems faced by IQT's government partners.
  • Provide thought leadership in one or more areas of subject matter expertise.
  • Coordinate with customers on technology adoption strategy in development of multiple work programs in a government partner mission area.
Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to contractual reasons.
  • Active top-secret clearance is preferred; at a minimum, the candidate must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • An advanced degree in a science or engineering discipline (or equivalent experience) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience with some portion of that time overseeing a technology development effort in a business and/or intelligence environment is required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in space technology is required.
  • Previous experience negotiating milestone-based Statements of Work contracts is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following fields: space systems, robotics, unmanned aerial vehicles, autonomous underwater vehicles, power, energy, advanced manufacturing, 3D printing, and sensors.
  • A commitment to continued understanding of new technologies and their strategic advantages is preferred.
  • The ability to analyze complex problems, including identifying root cause issues, generating a concise summary of analysis, and presenting recommendations for non-technical audiences is preferred.
  • Startup or entrepreneurial experience and a proven ability to thrive in a non-traditional, entrepreneurial environment is preferred.
  • Comfortable presenting complex technology subjects to both technical and non-technical audiences is preferred.
  • Strong writing skills, with experience in both technical writing and proposal/contract writing is preferred.
