About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering teams and drive the development of our healthcare products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead one or more engineering teams, mentoring engineers of all experience levels and managing team performance.
  • Technical Guidance: Guide and make architectural decisions to enable the building of efficient and reusable services, APIs, and complex web/mobile applications.
  • Accountability: Be accountable for team outcomes, ensuring both engineering and business goals are accomplished.
  • Technical Support: Support live-site operations, on-call engineering, and leading incident response.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess technical expertise to recognize and teach great engineering practices, although coding may not be a regular part of the day-to-day.
Requirements
  • Start-up Experience: Have experience working in a start-up environment, including perhaps founding your own company.
  • Technical Expertise: Have experience developing best-in-class mobile and web applications, as well as monitoring and supporting them in production.
  • Customer Focus: Care about customers and encourage this attitude on the team.
  • Feedback and Communication: Not be afraid of uncomfortable conversations and giving feedback to the team, with a focus on respectful, honest, and direct communication.
