Position Summary:

We are seeking a FULL-TIME Bilingual (Spanish/English) Access Coordinator who will serve as the essential first point of contact for all service referrals to our Access Center. This role is crucial in collecting client information and adhering to established procedures for scheduling appointments. You will play a key role in delivering an outstanding customer service experience. The Access Coordinator must be empathetic and provide highly professional and efficient service to all clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle multi-channel referrals through various communication methods for mental health services.
  • Document interactions within our Electronic Health Record system.
  • Efficiently schedule appointment requests while collaborating effectively with team members.
  • Respond to inquiries from referral sources and clients with confidence, patience, and professionalism.
  • Secure and verify insurance payment details.
  • Manage the company waitlist by coordinating appointments and communicating with clients.
  • Ensure an excellent customer service experience and foster positive relationships with clients, referral sources, and colleagues.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field such as Psychology or Social Work, or equivalent experience in a healthcare customer service role is required. Proficiency in both English and Spanish, along with excellent communication skills, is essential. The ability to multitask and maintain organization is crucial. A flexible, proactive, and positive demeanor is necessary for success in this role. Spanish fluency is mandatory.

Physical Requirements:

Effective communication with clients and colleagues is essential. Regular use of telecommunication and electronic communication is required. Normal hearing and vision capabilities are necessary.

No heavy lifting is anticipated, though occasional exertion of up to 10 lbs. may be necessary. Good manual dexterity for operating standard office equipment is expected.
