Job Description

The Patient Service Representative (PSR) plays a critical role in our healthcare operations, responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patients. This individual is the first point of contact for patients, greeting and welcoming them to our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Registration and Coordination: Register patients and coordinate with the rest of the team to ensure a timely turnaround for the patient.
  • Patient Communication: Respond to patient questions and concerns with a sense of urgency and kindness, both on the telephone and in person.
  • Paperwork and Documentation: Accurately enter and update patient information in our system, assist patients with completion of paperwork when necessary, and scan, update, and file medical records.
  • Insurance and Billing: Process medical insurance information, verify patient eligibility, and address any patient questions about insurance.
  • Cash Handling: Handle cash and co-payments accurately and responsibly.
  • Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service to every patient, ensuring a positive experience.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Degree or GED.
  • Experience: Experience working in a high-volume/high-intensity service industry, such as healthcare, hospitality, or retail.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, detail-oriented, and a team player.
  • Computer Proficiency: Superior keyboarding skills (approximately 55 wpm) and computer proficiency.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual language skills required or preferred based on site location.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit and stand for periods of time, with heavy computer use required.
