About the Role:
SilicaRise is seeking a highly skilled ML Hardware Architect to contribute to the development of innovative silicon products. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance ML hardware solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of architectural innovations for ML silicon products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the constraints and trade-offs of ML hardware design.
- Develop and maintain qualitative and quantitative evaluation methodologies for power, performance, and cost of prospective silicon products.
- Collaborate with system and ML application software engineers to optimize across the hardware/software boundary.
Requirements:
- MS or PhD degree in Computer Architecture or equivalent years of experience.
- Deep understanding of processor microarchitecture.
- Experience with SystemC, Python, C/C++, and performance simulation frameworks.
- Strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with deep learning models, particularly transformer architectures and their workload characteristics.
- Knowledge of the RISC-V instruction set architecture.
- Proven track record of silicon tape-outs with in-house processor core designs or in-house accelerator designs in industry or academia.
- Knowledge of ML trends and experience in outreach to ML researchers and application developers.
