**Job Summary**

A highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist is sought after by Harris Health System to join our team of healthcare professionals. This role requires a professional with a strong background in respiratory care, validated by successful completion of the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) requirements for professional RCP license by the Texas Medical Board, and a minimum of 5 years of work experience in respiratory care.

**Minimum Qualifications**

• Degrees: Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Care from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) or other accrediting body approved by the advisory board.

• Licenses & Certifications:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program from American Association of Pediatrics (AAP) is mandatory for working in neonatal ICU (NRP may be obtained within 90 days of employment).
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner from the Texas Medical Board.

• Work Experience: Five (5) years of experience in a Respiratory Care Department as a practicing therapist.

• Language Skills: Bilingual preferred.

• Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact).

• Writing/Reports.

**Job Attributes**

• Work Schedule: Weekdays; Twelve hour shifts. Weekends; Twelve hour shifts. Holidays; Rotating.
