Position Overview:
The role of the Registered Nurse is essential in delivering quality healthcare services. The successful candidate will engage in full-time or part-time shifts, focusing on day or night operations within a correctional medical facility.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure nursing practices align with established healthcare standards.
- Conduct thorough assessments and provide comprehensive treatment while adhering to security protocols.
- Monitor treatment services to prevent misuse or duplication of care.
- Collaborate with Health Services Administrator and Nurse Supervisor to enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of controlled substances and other medical supplies.
- Offer health counseling and conduct sick calls for patients, providing provisional diagnoses and treatments as per established protocols.
- Document symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients, contributing to the nursing care plan.
- Implement treatment plans aimed at promoting and restoring patient well-being.
- Perform vital sign checks and complete assessments at the start of each shift for all patients in the medical unit.

Orientation and Training:
New hires will undergo a comprehensive two-week orientation, including on-the-job training and shadowing experienced nursing staff.
