Position Overview:
Personalcare Registered Professional Nursing P.C. is seeking motivated and diligent Registered Nurses (RN) for full-time or part-time roles in the Medical Department. The RN will be responsible for overseeing and assessing nursing care aligned with the organization's philosophy and objectives. This role will report directly to the Medical Director or designated mid-level practitioner.

Available Shifts:
Full-Time & Part-Time Day (7:30 AM - 8:00 PM), Full-Time Night (7:30 PM - 8:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities:
The Registered Nurse will ensure compliance with established nursing standards and will be tasked with assessing and delivering comprehensive care while adhering to security protocols.

Additional Duties Include:
  • Monitoring treatment services to prevent misuse or duplication of services.
  • Advising the Health Services Administrator and Nurse Supervisor of any concerns.
  • Evaluating and recommending strategies to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Assisting in the coordination of monthly healthcare staff meetings as assigned.
  • Maintaining accurate records of controlled substances and adhering to state and federal regulations.
  • Providing health counseling and conducting sick calls for patients, offering provisional diagnoses and treatment for minor ailments as per established protocols.
  • Documenting symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients, contributing to the nursing care plan.
  • Implementing treatment plans aimed at promoting and restoring patient well-being.
  • Conducting vital sign assessments and comprehensive evaluations at the start of each shift for all patients in the medical and mental health units.

This position includes a two-week orientation period, providing on-the-job training and shadowing with experienced nursing staff.

Qualifications:
The Registered Nurse position is fast-paced, requiring strong multi-tasking abilities and proficient patient assessment skills. Candidates must be licensed to practice nursing in the relevant state.

  • Current Registered Nurse license in the state of New York.
  • Strong clinical decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication abilities.
  • Capability to work independently while demonstrating clinical competency.
  • Ability to establish trust and rapport with patients.
  • Relevant education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience in a healthcare delivery system is advantageous.
