Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and visitors.
  • Welcome and guide patients, sales staff, and guests.
  • Verify and update patient information for both new and existing patients, ensuring insurance and referral details are accurate.
  • Determine payer sources and confirm insurance eligibility and financial standing.
  • Accurately input personal health and financial data into management systems while adhering to privacy regulations.
  • Assist patients in completing necessary documentation as required.
  • Communicate any delays or wait times to patients effectively.
  • Ensure patient records are complete and organized.
  • Review and confirm the accuracy of the physician's schedule.
  • Collect and process co-payments.
  • Coordinate patient flow by collaborating with medical assistants.
  • Schedule appointments both via phone and in person.
  • Arrange for interpreters for patient visits when necessary.
  • Manage outgoing referrals as needed.
  • Complete assigned tasks and assist colleagues as directed.
  • Adhere to all policies introduced during onboarding and as outlined in the Associate Handbook.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong attendance and effective communication skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to take initiative in problem-solving.
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a receptionist role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with insurance verification.
  • Background in healthcare.
  • Familiarity with EPIC systems.

Work Environment:

  • Collaborative team of 5 professionals.
  • Clinical setting.
  • Shift: 4x10 closing shifts with potential weekend coverage.
