Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and visitors.
- Welcome and guide patients, sales staff, and guests.
- Verify and update patient information for both new and existing patients, ensuring insurance and referral details are accurate.
- Determine payer sources and confirm insurance eligibility and financial standing.
- Accurately input personal health and financial data into management systems while adhering to privacy regulations.
- Assist patients in completing necessary documentation as required.
- Communicate any delays or wait times to patients effectively.
- Ensure patient records are complete and organized.
- Review and confirm the accuracy of the physician's schedule.
- Collect and process co-payments.
- Coordinate patient flow by collaborating with medical assistants.
- Schedule appointments both via phone and in person.
- Arrange for interpreters for patient visits when necessary.
- Manage outgoing referrals as needed.
- Complete assigned tasks and assist colleagues as directed.
- Adhere to all policies introduced during onboarding and as outlined in the Associate Handbook.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong attendance and effective communication skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to take initiative in problem-solving.
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a receptionist role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with insurance verification.
- Background in healthcare.
- Familiarity with EPIC systems.
Work Environment:
- Collaborative team of 5 professionals.
- Clinical setting.
- Shift: 4x10 closing shifts with potential weekend coverage.
