Job Summary:

A Health and Safety Specialist is needed for a multinational corporation that produces mirrors and various materials. The Safety and Compliance Administrator will be responsible for ensuring OSHA compliance, investigating incidents, generating safety procedures, and working with employees in a unionized manufacturing environment to maintain a safe workplace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Safety Procedures: Generate safety procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Collaborate with Employees: Collaborate with employees to address and resolve safety issues.
  • Conduct Incident Investigations: Conduct and document incident investigations.
  • Develop Safety Training Programs: Develop and maintain safety training programs.
  • Perform Safety Audits: Perform regular safety audits and inspections.
Requirements:
  • Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication skills.
  • Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO): Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) certification.
  • Confined Space Safety Protocols: Confined Space safety protocols knowledge.
  • Machine Guarding Standards: Machine Guarding standards expertise.
  • Incident Investigation and Report Writing: Experienced in incident investigation and report writing.
  • OSHA Compliance Requirements: Proficient in OSHA compliance requirements.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in manufacturing safety and health.
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
