Job Title: Senior Registered Nurse Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Registered Nurse Supervisor to join our team at the Agency for Persons with Disabilities. As a Senior Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of nursing care plans, supervising nursing staff, and ensuring the highest level of care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement nursing care plans that are based on holistic nursing assessments and developed in concert with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Supervise nursing staff, including interviewing and hiring applicants, providing ongoing communication, and holding formal staff meetings.
  • Provide on-call support during evenings and weekends, including troubleshooting, consulting with staff, and reporting to Tacachale on all shifts if necessary.
  • Participate in budgetary process by monitoring use of resources, staff, and supplies.
  • Perform supervisory Human Resources duties, including People First management, drafting SMART Objectives, and performing all talent management functions.
  • Complete performance evaluations within deadlines and supervise completion of all required documents/processes.
  • Provide incident reporting and management of workplace incidents, accidents, or injuries.
Requirements:
  • A valid Florida Driver's License.
  • Corrective Lenses Restricted license are acceptable provided the driver wears the corrective lenses while operating a state vehicle.
  • Must be willing to perform essential services before, during, and after an emergency.
  • Must be willing to work beyond the normal work schedule to maintain minimum coverage levels and meet the needs of the Agency.
  • Must maintain certification in Prevention and Safety Strategies, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and Direct Care In-Service.
  • Must complete annual health screening.
  • Must maintain current Registered Nurse license.
  • Must maintain current CPR Healthcare Provider Certification.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40lbs with or without accommodations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
  • Skilled in the use of emergency equipment within scope of training.
  • Ability to interact, assess, and respond to individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to provide emergency nursing care, including basic life support, emergency care for choking, rescue breathing, and use of emergency equipment.
