We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Tech to join our team at McLean Hospital. As a key member of our inpatient mental health unit, you will provide direct patient care and participate in therapeutic milieu.
Key Responsibilities- Provide accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and observations
- Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and maintain professional boundaries
- Identify patient behaviors that contribute to crisis situations and utilize de-escalation techniques
- Participate in planning and implementation of patient groups and activities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide support as needed
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of mental health principles and practices. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
