Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team at McLean Hospital's Oak Street North location. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide direct patient care and participate in therapeutic milieu.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and observations
  • Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and maintain professional boundaries
  • Identify and de-escalate crisis situations using non-verbal and verbal techniques
  • Participate in planning and implementation of patient groups and activities
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide support as needed
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Verbal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
  • No experience required; one year patient care or related experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic medical records
