Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team at McLean Hospital's Oak Street North facility in Middleborough, Massachusetts. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide direct patient care and participate in therapeutic milieu under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Your primary responsibilities will include establishing therapeutic relationships with patients, maintaining professional boundaries, and identifying patient behaviors that contribute to crisis situations. You will also participate in planning and implementation of patient groups, active milieu assessment, and assist patients with activities of daily living.
To be successful in this role, you will possess a clear understanding of the importance of teamwork, demonstrated ability to work autonomously, and a positive attitude with creativity and determination to accomplish tasks. You will also prioritize person-centered care and have a true joy of helping patients and their families.

Requirements- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in collaboration with others
- No experience required; one year patient care or related experience preferred, preferably in a psychiatric setting
- Basic computer skills to use electronic or online systems for communication, clinical, and administrative purposes
