Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Federal Account Manager. As a key member of our US Department of the Interior account team, you will play a critical role in helping our federal government and Native Nations customers optimize and expand their adoption of Esri technology.

Responsibilities
  1. Build Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with our federal government and Native Nations customers, understanding their needs and challenges.
  2. Prospect, Develop, and Implement Location Strategies: Identify and pursue new business growth opportunities, leveraging social media and other channels to build your professional network.
  3. Understand Our Customers: Demonstrate industry knowledge and its relevance to the application of GIS, identifying key stakeholders and business drivers for our customers.
  4. Learn and Grow: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies, consistently conducting research and pursuing professional development to anticipate customer needs.
  5. Deliver Results: Successfully execute the account management and sales processes for all opportunities, using whiteboard sessions and other techniques to support visual storytelling and propose solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of enterprise sales and/or relevant consulting or program management experience
  • 3+ years of experience working in or supporting the federal government
  • Experience creating partnerships and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with customers
  • Understanding of account management, account planning, and opportunity strategy creation
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the federal government industry, Indian Affairs, and new technology trends
Recommended Qualifications
  • Understanding of GIS, Esri technology, and enterprise systems
  • Experience managing the sales cycle
  • General knowledge of data science or spatial analysis
  • Knowledge of federal industry policy, fiscal year, budgeting, and procurement cycles

Esri offers a competitive total rewards package, including industry-leading health and welfare benefits, a 401(k) and profit-sharing program, minimum accrual of 80 hours of vacation leave, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $104,000—$187,200 USD.
