As a Client Service Representative at Henry Ford Hospital, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient registration experiences. Under general supervision, you will follow standard operating procedures for all patient registration activities, including patient reception, face-to-face check-in and check-out, preregistration, insurance verification, cash collections, chart reconciliation, and patient discharge.

You will actively contribute to an organizational culture committed to the highest degree of service excellence standards to all customer groups. Your ability to work effectively with populations of diverse backgrounds and ages will be essential in providing exceptional patient care.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and a demonstrated ability to work with detailed information. Familiarity with a clinic environment is preferred, but not required.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing calculations and completing forms
  • Extensively utilizing computer information systems
  • Providing exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, medical staff, and other clinic and/or hospital personnel
  • Discussing general financial responsibilities with patients and connecting them with the Customer Service Center at the Corporate Business Office
  • Working successfully in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
  • Working within a team setting and being supportive of team members
  • Successful completion of yearly competencies
  • Basic computer skills, including knowledge of software, email, and navigation

Additional requirements include being dependable and punctual, with a strong ability to work effectively in a team setting.
