Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant II to join our team at a premier Orthopedic and Urology clinic in the Houston Medical Center. As a Medical Assistant II, you will play a vital role in providing patient care and supporting our clinical staff.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine patient care duties, including taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and providing wound care.
  • Collect patient history, perform medication reconciliation, and enter information into the electronic medical record.
  • Review patients' medications lists and identify any medications that require attention before procedures.
Requirements
  • Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
  • Three years of experience as a Medical Assistant is required.
  • One year of experience in a specialty clinic is highly preferred; experience in urology is a strong plus.
  • Experience with Epic EMR program preferred.
  • COVID-19 vaccination is required.
