Job Title: Service Desk Technician

Join General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) as a Service Desk Technician and play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' IT systems. As a Service Desk Technician, you will be the primary point of contact for users, providing timely and effective support to resolve technical issues and improve overall system performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to users via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Respond to and resolve technical issues in a timely and professional manner, escalating complex problems to senior technicians as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and resolve system issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
  • Document and track technical issues, providing regular updates to users and stakeholders.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices.
Requirements:
  • 1+ years of experience in a technical support role, preferably in a help desk or service desk environment.
  • CompTIA Security+ CE certification or higher.
  • Top Secret-SCI security clearance, with the ability to obtain CI/Polygraph clearance.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
