About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our team at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center. As a key member of our Solid Organ Transplant/Complex Surgical Progressive Care Unit, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to our complex patient population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
  • Collaborate with staff daily to support a positive environment of teamwork that results in quality patient outcomes, service excellence, and staff satisfaction.
  • Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, employee recognition, and evidence-based department process improvements.
  • Provide recommendations related to interviewing, onboarding, and training new staff, as well as implementing courses of action to ensure clinical excellence.
  • May assist with staff scheduling and day-to-day staffing, managing all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
  • Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment in a fiscally responsible manner.
Requirements
  • Previous clinical/in-patient experience with intermediate level of care patients (Two years or more)
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN), Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC), Medical Surgical Nurse – Board Certified (MEDSURG-BCTM)
