The Catering Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating catering staff schedules to ensure timely delivery of functions. This role involves preparing and serving food under the supervision of the Catering Director, as well as driving a truck to deliver food and beverages to catered functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine workload requirements from catering orders
  • Meet with function group leaders to discuss setup arrangements and address last-minute changes
  • Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a service-oriented manner
  • Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items
  • Instruct staff on work expectations for catered functions
  • Help staff set up rooms to desired specifications
  • Assemble and deliver food and supplies to scheduled locations
  • Serve food and beverages to guests
  • Return food, beverages, serving equipment, and utensils to catering facility
  • Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures, following HACCP standards
  • Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils
  • Ensure proper food preparation by following approved recipes and production standards

Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license may be required
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers permit where required by state law
