Our Shared Services Team supports and enables the broader EssilorLuxottica community to meet their objectives, ensuring that every aspect of our operations is well-managed and efficiently executed.

GENERAL FUNCTION

This role is accountable for numerous monthly accounting tasks and responsibilities associated with EssilorLuxottica's Risk Management accounting and annual audit processes, including the preparation of monthly accounting journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. The position also aids the Risk Management department with various special projects and reporting duties.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage diverse financial reporting activities, including the preparation of monthly journal entries for multiple brands.
  • Conduct monthly account reconciliations across the organization for various brands.
  • Assist in the collection of data for all insurance carrier audits related to the casualty insurance program.
  • Oversee the submission of invoices to Accounts Payable for all premium and associated fee invoices received by the Risk Management department.
  • Prepare and/or revise monthly and quarterly reporting schedules along with variance analysis.
  • Generate various reports from SAP software as needed.
  • Engage in special projects and reporting as requested by management.
COMMUNICATION WITH OTHERS:

INTERNAL - Collaborate with numerous corporate Service Center departments, including General Accounting, Occupational Health/Human Resources, Payroll, Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis, Sales & Use Tax, Brand Contacts, and Canada.

EXTERNAL - Interact with various external contacts, including insurance brokers, external auditors, third-party administrators, insurance carriers, and governmental agencies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
  • 2-5 years of accounting experience.
  • Participation in internal and external training/seminars related to accounting and accounting systems.
  • Proficient to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with SAP is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Background in Risk Management and Insurance is considered advantageous.
