Job Summary

A Clinical Allergy Specialist at United Allergy Services is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our allergy center, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services. This role requires a strong understanding of allergens, the allergic response, and immunotherapy protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain expertise in allergens, the allergic response, and UAS clinical protocols.
  • Administer safe and effective immunotherapy processes, including allergy testing and formulation preparation.
  • Educate patients on administering injections and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Complete paperwork and verify insurance eligibility for each patient.
  • Manage patient scheduling and handle billing documentation.
  • Maintain clinic inventory levels and ensure timely ordering and receipt of supplies.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with providers and medical office staff.
  • Escalate patient or other questions to appropriate team members or providers in a timely manner.
  • Meet strategic goals and objectives related to clinic productivity and revenue.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in health sciences or business preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of full-time equivalent work experience in healthcare, hospital, customer service, retail, or similar industry.
  • Nursing or other medical technician certification(s) as required by state or local regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure suitable results.
  • Ability to travel periodically within the local clinical area and occasionally overnight to other clinic or business locations.
  • Ability to work extended hours when necessary.
  • Bi-lingual abilities, with fluency in Spanish required.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Workday, and SharePoint will improve success.
