Job Duties
The Virginia Department of Human Resource Management is dedicated to providing a safe and secure environment for all its stakeholders. We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the role of Security and Safety Coordinator.
Job Summary/Objectives: This part-time position is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the facilities. The Security and Safety Coordinator will conduct regular security patrols, respond to incidents, and prepare detailed reports on occurrences such as injuries and alarms. Additionally, the role involves monitoring surveillance systems, inspecting access points, and delivering exceptional customer service while enforcing organizational policies.
This position is considered part-time with no benefits and not to exceed an average of 29 hours per week.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven experience in maintaining a secure environment for an organization.
- Ability to effectively engage with diverse groups of people.
- Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts and address issues promptly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a security certification within 12 months of hire.
Additional Considerations
Experience in providing security services in a corporate or educational setting is preferred. CPR and First-Aid certifications are advantageous.
