Maintenance Journey

Hexcel is seeking a skilled Maintenance Journey to join their team at their Kent, WA location. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including motors, gearboxes, and hydraulic systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical and mechanical systems, including PLC programming and control systems.
  • Work with plant power and lighting systems, including installation and modification of electrical outlets, breakers, and junction boxes.
  • Support facility operations, including light plumbing, carpentry, and basic welding and machining.
  • Interface with equipment operators and maintenance personnel to complete assignments and support projects.
Requirements:
  • Four years of recent Journey level mechanical experience in industrial maintenance and repair.
  • Able to read electrical diagrams and wiring instructions, with experience with 480V, 3 phase power and industrial electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with common industrial components and equipment, including motors, valves, switches, sensors, and belt and chain drive mechanisms.
  • Must be forklift, snorkel, and scissor lift certifiable.
  • Experience with light carpentry, basic welding, and machining is required.
  • Flexibility to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, as well as weekday and weekend overtime, and available to respond to off-hour emergencies.
  • Must have own tools and working knowledge of lockout/tag out procedures in an industrial environment.
  • Ability to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs. and work at heights with fall protection or in confined spaces.
