Job Summary

The Director of Nursing is a key leadership position at Advanced Care Partners, responsible for overseeing the clinical services of our Pediatric Partial Hospitalization Program (PPEC). As a registered professional nurse, you will utilize the nursing process to provide continuity of care and ensure the highest quality of service for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the clinical operations of the Center, ensuring compliance with all State and Federal regulations, Medicaid Regulations, and Advanced Care Partners policies and procedures.
  • Direct the provision and quality of nursing services, supervising all nursing staff and unlicensed assistive personnel.
  • Maintain contact with patients' primary health care providers, documenting all interactions in the medical record.
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement written goals and objectives, standards of practice, policies, and procedures for the nursing service.
  • Assist the Administrator with staff development, in-services, and continuing education, as well as staff performance review and progressive discipline.
Requirements
  • Current Florida registered nurse license.
  • Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  • Minimum of two years of general pediatric nursing experience, with at least six months spent caring for medically fragile infants or children in pediatric intensive care, neonatal intensive care, PPEC, or similar care settings.
  • Evidence of negative TB skin test or chest x-ray.
  • Satisfactory criminal background check.
  • Nursing supervision and/or administration experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, lift, or assist in lifting patients for feeding, changing, bathing, and emergency response.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, and demonstrate flexibility to meet patient care needs.
  • Must be able to see visually and listen with hearing acuity to monitor patients and medical equipment.
  • Must have strength and manual dexterity to operate medical equipment.
