Position Overview: The SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Support Consultant is responsible for delivering continuous support and enhancement for SAP IBP systems. This role emphasizes troubleshooting, user assistance, and system optimization. Below is a comprehensive outline of the responsibilities associated with this position:

Core Responsibilities:

User Assistance & Issue Resolution:

Serve as the main contact for users facing challenges with SAP IBP and related business processes.

Identify and rectify functional discrepancies, errors, and system issues.

Deliver prompt and effective solutions to minimize interruptions in business operations.

System Oversight & Upkeep:

Oversee system performance and conduct regular assessments to ensure operational stability.

Execute routine maintenance activities, including system updates and patches, to maintain the efficiency of the SAP IBP environment.

Monitor process chains and carry out validation procedures.

Schedule, oversee, and troubleshoot planning tasks.

Familiarity with ECC master data is essential (Material master, Bills of materials, Routings, production versions, and MRP Areas).

Manage and resolve CIF queue issues and perform reconciliation tasks.

Understanding of IBP RTO master data is required (Products, locations, resources, PPM, PDS).

Knowledge of IBP version management and administration tasks such as initialization and consistency checks is important.

Implement master data validation processes and collaborate with business teams to update missing information.

Document weekly planning cycle challenges and collaborate with relevant teams to address these issues.

Familiarity with IBP administrative functions is beneficial.

Configuration & Enhancement:

Support and manage SAP IBP configurations, including demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, and sales & operations planning.

Evaluate system performance and pinpoint areas for enhancement. Implement improvements to optimize processes and system effectiveness.

Documentation & Training:

Develop and maintain documentation related to SAP IBP configurations, processes, and troubleshooting methods.

Provide training and guidance to users, assisting them in understanding system functionalities and best practices.

Issue Management & Reporting:

Track and document issues and their resolutions utilizing ticketing systems.

Prepare and present regular updates on system performance, issue resolution, and user feedback.

Collaboration & Coordination:

Work closely with technical teams, business users, and internal IT departments to resolve complex challenges and implement solutions.

If necessary, coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure support activities align with business goals.

Continuous Development:

Stay informed about the latest SAP IBP features, updates, and industry trends.

Propose and implement system enhancements and process improvements based on user feedback and system performance.

Testing & Quality Assurance:

Design and execute test plans to ensure the quality and functionality of SAP IBP solutions.

Identify and address issues during testing and post-implementation phases.

Training & Support:

Provide training and support to users on SAP IBP functionalities and best practices.

Create and maintain documentation related to SAP IBP processes and configurations.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is required.

Relevant SAP certification(s) in IBP or related SAP modules is preferred.

Experience:

5-7 years of experience as an SAP IBP Functional Consultant in both support and project roles. Knowledge of APO is an added advantage.

Demonstrated experience in supporting and troubleshooting SAP IBP modules such as Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Inventory Management.

Technical Proficiencies:

Strong understanding of SAP IBP functionalities and business processes related to supply chain management.

Excellent problem-solving abilities with the capacity to diagnose and resolve complex functional issues.

Effective communication skills, enabling interaction with both technical teams and business users.

Proficiency in creating and maintaining documentation and training materials.

Additional Attributes:

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Willingness to participate in on-call support or extended hours if necessary.

Knowledge of data integration and interface management with other systems is beneficial.
