Position Overview

This posting serves as a general overview for potential future openings within our Project Development Team. We are actively seeking candidates for roles that focus on the management and execution of utility-scale energy storage initiatives across various markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and facilitate the development of large-scale energy storage projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and market standards.
  • Support the advancement of ongoing projects, as well as the initiation of new developments and acquisitions.
  • Effectively communicate complex project scenarios and navigate challenges from inception through to construction.
  • Travel as necessary to engage in site evaluations, development discussions, and commercial negotiations.
Daily Duties
  • Manage and assist with permitting processes, site acquisition, interconnection issues, and power marketing strategies.
  • Analyze and manage project information flow from internal teams and external partners.
  • Maintain ownership of project assumptions and ensure timely updates across relevant departments.
  • Evaluate project progress, risks, and financial implications, providing comprehensive analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Keep abreast of developments in the energy storage market, particularly within regulatory frameworks, to guide project strategies.
  • Monitor project timelines and budgets, coordinating efforts across various disciplines.
  • Facilitate due diligence for potential acquisitions and negotiate site control agreements.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure alignment on design and construction processes.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related analytical field is required.
  • A minimum of seven years of relevant experience, including at least two years in energy storage or renewable energy project development.
  • Proven track record in managing utility-scale energy projects, with a focus on regulatory and interconnection matters.
  • Familiarity with local codes and regulations pertaining to energy project development.
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements related to project development.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of market dynamics and regulatory environments affecting energy storage.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess project status and inform management decisions.

  • This role supports a hybrid work model, allowing for remote work options.
  • Willingness to travel domestically is required, with some overnight trips anticipated.
