The ideal candidate will have expertise in data analytics, database management, and dashboard creation to assist the energy procurement team effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Extract data from various formats, including Excel, CSV, and JSON files.
- Design and implement dashboards and visualizations using Google Looker Studio.
- Develop and maintain relational databases in Google BigQuery.
- Utilize SQL for crafting queries and database views.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and consultants to foster effective working relationships, focusing on energy analytics and compliance reporting.
- Identify opportunities for enhancing internal processes as the organization scales.
- Document processes and analytical findings.
- Engage in ad hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree with 4 years of experience, or a High School diploma with 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in the energy sector, including electric utilities, CCAs, power marketing firms, energy portfolio management, or regulatory agencies.
- Proficiency in programming and data analysis using R, Python, and/or SQL to derive insights that support decision-making.
- Experience in creating dashboards and visualizations with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Google Looker Studio.
- Familiarity with relational databases and the ability to extract insights through Google BigQuery and SQL.
- Proven track record of owning and delivering projects successfully.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and personalities.
