A Front Desk Agent plays a crucial role in providing exceptional service to hotel guests during their stay. This position is vital for ensuring that guests feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive until their departure. The responsibilities include greeting guests, managing check-ins and check-outs, and addressing any inquiries or requests that may arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests at the front desk with a friendly demeanor.
- Assist guests with inquiries about local attractions, dining options, and transportation.
- Process all cash and credit transactions in accordance with hotel policies.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel rates, packages, and special promotions.
- Handle room reservations efficiently and accurately.
- Stay informed about in-house events and groups.
- Ensure compliance with emergency procedures and assist guests as needed.
- Utilize the Front Desk computer system proficiently to manage guest information.
- Complete all tasks outlined in the shift checklist in a timely manner.
- Prepare closing paperwork according to hotel standards.
- Promote guest programs and maintain a tidy work environment.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Prior experience in hospitality or a related field is preferred.
- Computer proficiency is necessary.
- Excellent customer service skills are essential.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Work Schedule:
8-hour shifts, including day shifts, weekends, and holidays.
