Senior Payroll Specialist

Complete Staffing Solutions, Inc. is seeking a seasoned payroll professional to join their growing team in Fairfield County. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in end-to-end payroll processing for over 1500 employees in the US.
Key Responsibilities- Manage payroll inbox and troubleshoot issues related to payroll, including running off cycles, stop payments, and issue replacements.
- Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data in Workday payroll software system.
- Reconcile payroll journal to general ledger monthly and prepare annual tax reporting documents, including W2 and W2Cs.
- Assist the payroll manager in benefit invoice reconciliation and funding, and drive key payroll-related projects.
- Provide support during payroll audits and collaborate cross-functionally with HR and Finance to implement new processes and improve existing ones.
- Advanced expertise in Excel, including Pivot, VLOOKUPs, and Functions for comprehensive reporting.
- Working knowledge of payroll process, related Federal/State/Local tax, and compliance.
- Analytical approach to problem-solving and ability to work independently.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred knowledge in Workday Payroll system and FPC certification.
