About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to join our team as the Animal Services Agency Director. As the top executive, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our animal services department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to the community.

Job Summary

The Animal Services Agency Director will provide administrative direction and support to the executive team, ensuring the effective management of the department's resources and personnel. This includes overseeing the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and programs that promote animal welfare and public safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the animal services team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Departmental Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the animal services department, ensuring the efficient use of resources and the delivery of high-quality services to the community.
  • Policy Development: Develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs that promote animal welfare and public safety, in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Community Engagement: Foster strong relationships with local stakeholders, including community groups, organizations, and government agencies, to promote the agency's mission and services.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the financial management of the department, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Human Resources: Supervise and develop the animal services team, ensuring the effective management of personnel, training, and development.
About the Ideal Candidate

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader who possesses the following qualifications and skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as public administration, business administration, animal care, or a related field.
  • Experience: Three years of professional experience at a management or supervisory level in a public organization related to animal control, sheltering, and animal care services or other similarly complex operations or programs.
  • Leadership and Management: Proven experience in leading and managing teams, with a track record of achieving results and driving innovation.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and team members.
  • Financial Management: Strong financial management skills, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary, benefits package, and opportunities for professional growth and development. The estimated salary for this role is $95,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
