Key Responsibilities- Welcoming and guiding patients and visitors through our clinic, ensuring a positive and efficient experience.
- Accurately and efficiently checking in patients, capturing registration information, and collecting co-pays or fees.
- Providing patients with necessary forms, questionnaires, and information about our services.
- Directing patients to the appropriate care area and resolving non-clinical patient issues.
- Maintaining a clean and organized clinic lobby and work areas.
- Communicating with patients about our services, including access to Urgent Care, Gopher Quick Clinic, and other areas of clinical services.
- Arranging accommodations or interpreter services as needed for patients.
- Answering phone calls, responding to messages, and redirecting calls as necessary.
- Maintaining knowledge of appointment scheduling practices, policies, and procedures.
- Business college, office skills training, or university-level education, or a combination of related medical clerical/receptionist experience and education to total four years.
- Experience in a related health clinic clerical position.
- Experience with an electronic medical record system.
- Experience in a multicultural medical or social services setting.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and detail-oriented skills.
- Ability to function with multiple priorities and interruptions.
