Protestant Religious Education Coordinator Role
  • OVERVIEW: The Protestant Religious Education Coordinator (PREC) is essential in managing, directing, and executing all Protestant Religious Education initiatives and activities. This position also involves delivering an approved curriculum for children's church services.
  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Serve as the main organizer for all events that involve childcare volunteers.
    • Ensure proper identification and vetting for volunteers working with minors.
    • Recruit, train, and oversee Religious Education volunteers.
    • Handle facility requests for scheduled activities and resolve any scheduling issues.
    • Engage in chapel staff meetings to provide updates on tasks and projects.
    • Participate in PAC meetings to address pertinent Religious Education topics.
  • DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Recruit, instruct, and manage all Religious Education volunteers.
    • Plan and conduct children's church services as needed.
    • Coordinate the setup and resources for all events.
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
    • Advise on curriculum selections for upcoming Religious Education cycles.
    • Ensure volunteers receive the curriculum materials in advance.
    • Organize special events such as Vacation Bible School.
    • Track attendance and provide regular reports on participation.
    • Assist with any necessary reporting requirements.
  • ADDITIONAL TASKS:
    • Promote events through approved communication channels.
    • Plan events to recognize and appreciate volunteers.
    • Incorporate children and youth in special holiday worship services.
  • Comply with Chapel Air Force Instructions and Operating Procedures.
