We are seeking a highly skilled Magnetic Resonance Imaging Specialist I to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing medically prescribed MRI procedures of designated anatomical areas, under the general direction of the radiologist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provides exceptional patient care and ensures a positive experience for patients undergoing MRI procedures.
- Procedure Execution: Independently implements patient procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards, ensuring high-quality images and efficient exam completion.
- Equipment Maintenance: Demonstrates skill in equipment set-up, utilization, and proper maintenance procedure, performing visual and manual quality control checks of radiographic equipment.
- Communication: Effectively communicates with patients, medical staff, and other technologists to ensure seamless exam execution and patient satisfaction.
- Problem-Solving: Solves problems that arise during patient examinations using technical knowledge and innovation, altering examination protocols as needed to maximize information.
Requirements:
- Education: Technical Diploma from an AMA-approved school of Radiology or Imaging Services.
- Licensure: New York State Radiologic Technologist License within 180 days of hire.
- Certification: American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Advanced Certification in MRI required within one (1) year of Hire or transfer.
- Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills, with basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
