Job Description:

The Lactation Care Coordinator will serve as a key member of our maternal-child health team, providing lactation consulting services to new mothers and supporting our clinical staff in promoting breastfeeding excellence. This role requires a strong background in lactation consulting, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for improving maternal-child health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lactation consulting services for new mothers, including one-on-one consultations, group sessions, and phone support.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Conduct research and provide education to patients and clinical staff on evidence-based lactation practices.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at improving breastfeeding rates and reducing lactation-related complications.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse.
  • IBCLC certification required.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Prior experience in counseling breast-feeding women.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary Range:$41.92 - $59.95 per hour.
